IMO Sub-Committee on Navigation, Communication, Search and Rescue (NCSR), 2nd session, 9 -13 March 2015

The second meeting of IMO’s Sub-Committee on Navigation, Communication, Search and Rescue (NCSR) got underway on 9 March at IMO headquarters. E-navigation, the modernization of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) and proposed changes to shipping lanes to give greater protection to the Great Barrier Reef are among items on a busy agenda. The Sub-Committee is being chaired by Mr Carlos Salgado of Chile.
