Marine Environment Protection Committee opens 68th session(11-15 May)
IMO Secretary-General Sekimizu has opened the68th session of IMO’s Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC), which is set to adopt the environmental provisions of the Polar Code. The Committee is chaired by Mr Arsenio Dominguez (Panama) and will run from 11 to 15 May. Other agenda items include: implementation of the ballast water management convention and energy-efficiency requirements and revisions to air pollution guidance and requirements.
