The Regional Maritime University (Rmu) Signs M.O.U. With Bollore Group

On the 29th of January, 2014, the Regional Maritime University (RMU) and the Bollore Group (made up of Bollore Africa Logistics Ghana Limited, Antrak Ghana Limited, Scanship Ghana Limited and TCT Ghana limited) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and entered into a special arrangement for 5 years. Representing the RMU were Capt. A. O. Turkson, Rector and Mualick A. Bangura, Director of Administration. The Bollore Group was represented by B. De Beor, Country Director and Moses K. Temanu, Group Human Resource director.
Under the MOU, the RMU shall render teaching and learning services in Logistics and Maritime Activities to personnel of the Bollore Group. RMU shall also organize special tailor-made courses to meet the personnel needs of the Bollore Group.
The Bollore Group, on the other hand, shall assist in the practical training of RMU staff and students by making available to them facilIties to enhance and promote research activities. In this regard, they will provide funding and personnel where possible and conduct relevant training programmes in support of research work. Moreover, the Bollore Group shall facilitate internship for RMU students.
